Name: Xanten, St. Victor's Church

Description:  The town of Xanten ( a corruption of the term "saints" since there were several Roman-era martyrs interred at this location during antiquity) is considered to be St. Norbert's home town.  It is the location where St. Norbert spent much of his youth, and he became a subdeacon of this church.  Here also he was frustrated in attempts to reform diocesan Canons at St. Victor's.
