History:
Northwest of Krakow, on the way to the city of Olkusz.
The abbey was founded in 1226, and around 1660 was submitted to the jurisdiction of the local diocesan bishop.

Dlubmia is the original name for Imbramowice, and refers to the river running near by it. The name Imbramowice itself, derives from the founder of the convent - Imbram.
