Monasticon Praemonstratense (I, 266)

Approximate modern location: SE Sweden, set between two lakes in a picturesque setting, north of the town of Bäckaskog itself, near Kristianstad.

Elm-Number [See below]: 57*

Other Comments: This house is now a "castle" open to the public.  Although many of the buildings are later, there is a "chapel" in the castle which has been cleared back to original walls, and may have been part of the original Chapter Room.  The grounds are park like and studded with flowers in season.
