Monasticon Praemonstratense (I, 386)

Approximate modern location: Orvieto, Umbria, Italy - on a beautiful hillside.

Elm-Number [See below]: 359*

Other Comments:  An ancient O.S.B. house, given over to O.Praem. 1221 by Pope Honorius III.  A fresco in this house first called Norbert "Sanctus".  It is now a "pension" and has a small restaurant as well.  Prior arrangements must be made to view the Abbey Church and cloister buildings, which usually remain closed to visitors.
