Wendling

. . . THIS MAY TAKE A MOMENT OR TWO . . .

Wendling fields adjacent to the village and parish church, where the abbey may have been.

Between the fields and the Wendling church, there are several large piles of partially buried stone and rubble.  These piles were mentioned by Backmund in Monasticon Praemonstratense, as possibly being remains of the abbey strucures removed from the fields.

Side of the church, showing another - much older - door, possibly the Canon's entrance.

Church entry, clearly 13-14th century.
