Approximate modern location:  A town in Westfalia.

Other Comments: Priory founded 1186/7, and from 1518 an Abbey.  Initially a duplex (double) monastery.  Daughter house of Marienweerd, but later administered from Knechtsteden.  At the time of suppression, there were 25 Canons present.  The Abbey Church is now a parish church, and some of the other Abbey buildings serve as the rectory/presbytery (Pfarrhaus/Propstei) and the "Stadtarchiv Arnsberg".
