Other Comments: This monastery housed confreres who fled St. Habakuk (1187) and St. Samuel (1244) after these latter were overrun by resurgent Muslim forces.  Accon (Acre) itself fell to these forces under the command of Saladin in 1291, at which time both Abbot Egidius and 26 fellow Premonstratensian religious were martyred.
